Syrah or Shiraz: it is mainly produced in places like Rhone Valley (France), Australia and California. It has a dark color, good rich aroma and flavor so it goes well as wedding wine. It has a taste that is rich and fruity black currant. Syrah is the grape variety used for producing this wine. It is a common variety of grape produced worldwide. It can be a complex wine or a simple wine depending on the location and fermentation of the grape.
Pinot Noir: made from a rare variety of grape known as Pinot Noir. It is one of the noblest varieties of grape producing red wine. These grapes are hard to grow so are limited to places like California, New Zealand, Loire valley and Oregon. Though rare it is one of the oldest varieties of wine and hence one of the best so people prefer it for celebration of wedding as it’s a once in a lifetime thing.
Merlot: this wine is one of the most preferred wines during a wedding celebration as it is very light and soft in taste. Generally Merlot grapes are used to make this wine. However, sometimes other grapes are also blended to make special and different Merlot wines. Merlot grapes require cool and consistent climate for its growth. One can fine these grapes in Romania, Italy, Washington State, Australia, California and Chile. Its taste resembles the taste of black berry and herbs.
Zinfandel: a red wine variety that is versatile, but only grows in California. This is the variety that produced both red and white variety of wine. It is one of the preferred wines for wedding celebration.
